Raising non-recourse Senior Project Financing to facilitate further growth
- Avaxa was engaged by Zelfstroom in August 2020 to assist in raising non-recourse Senior Project Financing for a new SPV with to be constructed solar panels;
- Zelfstroom is market leader in the field of lease and rental of solar panels in the Netherlands to individuals and SMEs. Zelfstroom provides services from A to Z, from advice to professionally installed solar panels on the roof of its customers;
- Avaxa assisted Zelfstroom in financial modelling and by composing several documents (including an Information Memorandum and Request for Proposal) with which a longlist of potential lenders was approached;
- As a result of the competitive process, including management meetings with selected potential lenders, we obtained multiple term sheets, with competitive terms & conditions, providing Zelfstroom optionality; and
- Through tight process management, we managed to close the EUR 10m financing raise with Triodos Bank in July 2021, against very competitive terms and conditions, setting Zelfstroom up for further growth.
