Following 13 years in wholesale banking, where I gained a wide range of experience in project financing, structured finance and corporate lending, from 2010-2016 I worked for PwC. Within PwC I set up, grew and managed one of the leading debt advisory practices in the Netherlands for corporates, (internationalizing) family businesses and Private Equity. With my team I successfully completed a large number of (inter-)national (re-)financings worth a total of EUR 5 billion. I was a nominee in the “Best Debt Advisor” category at the annual M&A Awards for 4 years in a row. I decided that I wanted to combine my drive for clients, debt advisory and entrepreneurship in building a new leading debt advisory boutique. Together with Lonneke Arntz I founded Avaxa debt advisors in 2016.

During my 19 years within Rabobank I gained a wide range of experience in the Dutch large and medium-sized corporate lending market. My experience consists of a wide range of wholesale banking activities, ranging from the origination and execution of (re-)financings to financial restructurings. For several years I managed a debt structuring team servicing a client portfolio of 50 corporates with a total amount of financing of EUR 4 billion. Between 2010-2016 I worked within the restructuring group where I successfully completed numerous large and complex financial restructurings. I decided that I wanted to combine my drive for clients, debt advisory and entrepreneurship in building a new leading debt advisory boutique. Together with Martijn Mouwen I founded Avaxa debt advisors in 2016.

After a career of over 40 years with Rabobank, of which 22 years in Financial Restructuring, I would like to continue to actively deploy my experience. As of 2020 I have joined Avaxa as Associate Partner. Throughout my career I gained a wealth of experience in solving financial problems. In the last 15 years I successfully completed numerous large and complex financial restructurings involving many stakeholders. I still have the energy and drive which I would like to use to assist Avaxa’s clients in realizing their (financial) objectives. I made a conscious choice to join Avaxa which is based on the enthusiastic team that has the drive and is well on its way to become a leading debt advisory boutique in the Netherlands.

In my 5 years in the KPMG Debt Advisory team I have gained extensive experience in advising on debt financing-related topics in the broadest sense: from analyzing potential financing solutions to successfully closing (international) financing transactions. I have worked for a diverse group of clients, including Dutch (large) corporates, private equity as well as companies in the (semi) public domain. After having worked at KPMG with much enthusiasm, I have joined Avaxa in September 2021 to strengthen its position as a leading debt advisory boutique in the Dutch market.

After two years within the M&A practice of Deloitte, where I assisted large and mid-sized corporates in complex acquisition related assignments, I joined Avaxa debt advisors in 2019. Within Avaxa I put my knowledge and experience to use in assisting our clients in the realization of a custom made optimal financing solution. Hereby, I actively contribute to the further expansion of Avaxa to a new leading debt advisory boutique.

Prior to getting my honors Master’s degree in Strategic Management, I spent six years working for a variety of organizations on a diversity of challenges. This client base entailed a diverse group ranging from companies active in HR services to biotech, from startups to large corporates. During my Master’s, I gained additional experience at a.s.r. Real Estate Investment Partners and ING Corporate Investments, which made me decide to use my knowledge and experience for strategic-financial issues. As of October 2022, I have commited myself to supporting Avaxa’s clients in finding optimal financing solutions that match their (strategic) ambitions.
