Raising financing for the expansion of their existing greenhouses
- In August 2023, Avaxa was engaged by Looye Kwekers to assist in raising financing for the expansion of their existing greenhouses in Burgerveen which will increase production capacity;
- Looye Kwekers is a prominent player in the European tomato market, known for its excellent and flavorful tomato brands, Honingtomaten and JOYN, sold across various European countries;
- The financing raised facilitated the construction of a new state-of-the-art greenhouse, allowing Looye to expand its presence in the premium tomato market and fulfil its sustainability objectives;
- Avaxa conducted an efficient financing process for Looye, preparing an information package that included a bank presentation, a financial base case model, a Request for Proposal, and a Head of Terms for potential financiers;
- ABN AMRO provided a financing package with highly attractive and flexible conditions, increasing the company's total financing to EUR 46 million; and
- The transaction closed in December 2023.
